English Literacy Program (ELP)

If you are a limited English proficient adult and need assistance improving your English language skills, the ELP program may be for you. The program assists enrollees with obtaining employment and/or getting promoted. In addition, program participants will be able to assist their children with schoolwork, and/or to increase their own confidence and self-esteem as family members, productive workers, and community members. Non-native English speakers have found their way to adult literacy classrooms all over Georgia, with the desire not only to speak English, but also to learn about life in their new surroundings. The ELP Program currently serves over 80 different language groups in all educational functioning levels.

There are 30 Service Delivery Areas (SDA) located throughout Georgia that provide classes in English Literacy. Locate the SDA most convenient to you or call (404) 679-1647 for more information.
